Ethernet + DC adapter setup for your Avia device
A stable wired data connection with power from the DC adapter. No mobile app needed.
Ethernet provides a stable wired connection for your Avia device. In this setup, Ethernet carries data only; you'll still use the DC adapter for power.
Before you start
An Ethernet cable, standard Cat5e or Cat6 (Cat3 is not supported)
An available port on a network switch or router
The DC adapter for power
Steps
Mount the device and connect the DC adapter first.
Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the device's Ethernet port.
Run the cable to your network switch or router.
Plug the other end into an available port on the switch.
Register the device: enter its serial number and installation height in Store Management (in the Avia app for Shopify). No mobile app needed; calibration runs after registration.
Verify it worked
The device automatically detects the wired connection and shows as online once registered.
Info: Ethernet takes priority over Wi-Fi when both are connected. Maximum recommended cable run is 90m (standard Ethernet spec). The device uses standard DHCP; if your switch requires VLAN configuration, contact your IT team.
