5 GHz network won't work

The Avia device supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only. It will not connect to a 5 GHz network.

Why this happens

Most modern routers broadcast on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. If your phone selected the 5 GHz band during app setup, the device won't be able to join that network.

Fix

During Wi-Fi setup in the Avia app, select your 2.4 GHz network from the list. If your router broadcasts both bands under a single combined SSID, your IT team can separate them so you can select the 2.4 GHz band specifically.
