Managing who can access Avia
Access is controlled through Shopify permissions, here's how it works.
Avia has no separate user management for Shopify merchants: access is controlled entirely through Shopify's native permissions.
Giving someone access
Avia is installed as the Avia app for Shopify in Shopify Admin, so who can open it is set through each staff member's Shopify permissions. The store owner (or a user with user-management rights) controls this:
In Shopify Admin, go to Settings β Users and permissions.
Select the staff account you want to give access to.
Under Permissions, scroll to Apps and channels.
Choose the level of access:
Access to Avia only: tick Avia in the app list. The staff member can then open Avia but can't install or delete apps.
Install and manage apps: tick Manage and install apps and channels. Add Approve app charges if they also need to activate or change Avia's paid subscription.
Save. The staff member can now open Avia in Shopify Admin.
Shopify occasionally updates this screen, and Plus/organization stores manage some permissions at the organization level. For the current details, see Shopify's Store permissions guide.
Store staff on the POS
Staff see the reduced Avia on Shopify POS view, added via POS settings. See the Avia on Shopify POS article.
