Ethernet setup
Ethernet provides a stable wired connection for your Avia device. In this setup, Ethernet carries data only β you'll still use the DC adapter for power.
What you'll need
An Ethernet cable or a longer one if needed β standard Cat5e or Cat6
Available port on a network switch or router
DC adapter for power
Steps
Mount the device and connect the DC adapter first (see DC adapter setup)
Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the device's Ethernet port
Run the cable to your network switch or router
Plug the other end into an available port on the switch
The device will automatically detect the wired connection during app setup
During app setup
When configuring the device in the Avia app, select Ethernet as the connection type. The app will verify the connection is active before completing setup.
Notes
Ethernet takes priority over Wi-Fi when both are connected
Use Cat5e or Cat6 cable β Cat3 is not supported
Maximum recommended cable run: 90m (standard Ethernet spec)
If the switch requires VLAN configuration, contact your IT team β the device uses standard DHCP
