Entering the installation height
Measure and enter the height correctly so Avia can calibrate detection.
The installation height is one of the most critical configuration values. Avia uses it to calibrate detection; an incorrect value leads to inaccurate counts.
What to measure
The measurement differs depending on your mount type:
Warning: Use a measuring tape, do not estimate. Even a 20-30cm error meaningfully affects detection accuracy.
Supported range
2.0m to 5.5m. Heights outside this range are not supported. If your mounting point is outside this range, contact Avia support before proceeding.
Where to enter it
For all setup methods, including PoE, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi, enter the installation height when registering the device in Store Management in the Avia app for Shopify, alongside the device serial number.t
Updating height
If you correct the height allow 24 hours of data before evaluating accuracy. Counts from before the correction remain as-is in historical reports
